I am a recent graduate from BU with a B.A. in Psychology and a Social-Organizational Psychology M.A. candidate at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Last year, under Ian's supervision, I led a team researching burnout, productivity, and collaboration among engineers within a COVID-induced remote landscape at Boston University. I am interested in using both social and developmental psychology to investigate how children and adults develop an understanding of racial categories. Specifically, racial self-identification in groups that have a more ambiguous and complex racial categorization process—such as Latino individuals. Additionally, my research focuses on investigating whether different racial/ethnic groups within the U.S. differ in their use of norm-enforcing language. I am currently a graduate student at Duke University in the department of Psychology and Neuroscience. After obtaining my PhD I hope to continue in academia pursuing mentorship-based roles.
