Ian was, and has been, a supportive mentor and supervisor. Not only was he approachable during lab hours, but also served as a knowledgeable role model in my academic and professional aspirations during my time at the Social Learning Lab. Without Ian's help, I would not have realized my own research interests. For this reason, I attribute much of where I am today to Ian's candor and guidance throughout the years.

Working with Ian was my first introduction to research. I valued and appreciated his detail oriented approach to science and I have no doubt I would not be as organized and passionate about the technicalities of research if it were not for his mentorship. I am positive he will continue to be a great mentor to undergraduate and graduate students in the future.

My experience working on this team was extremely positive, I certainly learned a lot and was lucky to have such an understanding and supportive mentor while I was going through a rough patch. Ian always went above and beyond to ensure that we had an in depth understanding of statistics and knew how to properly review literature.

Working with Ian as a research and academic mentor has truly provided me with immeasurable skills that have allowed me to excel in my current work. He is an incredibly motivated researcher with the heart of a teacher. Ian ensured that I was exposed to all aspects of the research process during my time with the Social Learning lab. I appreciate that we were never just given tasks to keep busy; instead, we all truly felt as though we were contributing to a team that was making a difference. It has been a few years since my involvement with the Social Learning Lab, but I still constantly find myself excited and talking about our work and my experience.

Ian was an excellent mentor! I worked with him on my first ever research project. Ian was able to guide me through the process of funding applications, data collection, abstract submission, and poster presentations. I value his feedback and mentorship as it has allowed me to continue my own original research projects and publications in medical school.
